New Wholesale Partners in the Mid-West

If you have looked at the DynaCycle map on our website lately, you have noticed a significant amount of growth across the country. The DynaCycle recycle program is unquestionably the fastest growing program in the industry. In the coming weeks, we will be adding 40 to 50 locations across the midwest portion of the the U.S. We are currently in discussions with a number of major wholesalers in this area and will be announcing new partners very soon.

Europe Revokes HFO-1234yf Patent

A tribunal of the European Patent Office (EPO) heard oral arguments in March of this year after formal objections to Honeywell’s HFO-1234YF patent were filed by Daikin Industries, Daimler AGE, ACEA, BMW AG, Mexichem, Solvay Fluor and others in November of 2009.  The tribunal’s decision is as follows-
“The patent is revoked under Article 101(2) EPC as at least one of the grounds of oppositions prejudices its maintenance unamended, and under Article 101(3) (b) EPC because taking into account the amendments made by the proprietor during the opposition proceedings, the patent and the invention to which it relates do no meet the requirements of the EPC.”

Honeywell has filed a Notice of Appeal.

DynaCycle Extends Trade-in & Trade-up Program

Program to run through May 2012

The program that allows participating contractors to exchange one 50 lb. or two 30 lb steel cylinders containing a total minimum of 30 pounds of tier one R-22 in exchange for a new DynaCycle Cylinder has been extended through the May .  The program has been met with a strong response from the contracting community at large.

DynaCycle has advertised the program heavily during the months of March, April and May. With new wholesalers now coming on board, we want to make sure that these contractors get an opportunity to participate in program and receive the best cylinder in the industry.

MLF Moves Closer to Phasing Out HCFC’s

Last  year,  the  U.S.  joined  the  EU,  Japan,  Canada,  Australia  and  New Zealand  in  pledging  $450  million  over  the  next  three  years  to  finance  the phase-­out  of  Ozone  Depleting  Substances.    Last  week,  the  U.S.  was  part of  a  group  of  countries  proposing  that  the  phase-­out  of  HFC’s  under  the Montreal  Protocol  would  be  “the  most  cost-­effective,  achievable  and  near-­ term  opportunity  for  significant  GHG  (Green  House  Gas)  mitigation.”
